China's production of coke, crude steel, pig iron and finished steel products all extended year-on-year increases during the first eleven months of this year, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
China produced 450.4 million tonnes of coke during January-November, rising 3.3% year on year. The output in November stood at 40.37 million tonnes, up 7.2% on the year yet down 2.8% from the previous month. Daily coke production stood at 1.35 million tonnes in November, up 0.4% on the month, data showed.
Crude steel output was registered at 952.14 million tonnes over January-November, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%. The November figure came in at 76.1 million tonnes, up 0.4% year on year but down 3.8% from the previous month. The daily output averaged 2.54 million tonnes last month, down 0.6% from October.
The production of pig iron was 810.31 million tonnes during the first eleven months, rising 1.8% from a year ago. Production in November was registered at 64.84 million tonnes, down 4.8% year on year and 6.3% from the previous month. The average output in November was 2.16 million tonnes, down 3.2% from the month prior.
Finished steel production climbed 5.7% year on year to 1.25 billion tonnes over January-November. Output in November stood at 110.44 million tonnes, 4.2% higher from a year earlier yet down 2.9% compared to the preceding month. The figure put the average daily output to 3.68 million tonnes, a 0.4% rise month on month, NBS data showed.
